How I Spent My... Recent Week

So sorry for the delay since the last post! Got a little busy with work/ wedding planning and then have been sick for the past 5 days.. Can't believe my wedding countdown is down to 59 days! Hope everyone's last day of March is a great one- I'm going to my first dress fitting today!

Celebrated a bestie's 25th birthday with dinner, presents and gluten/dairy free cake.

My favorite at Pressed Juicery.

Picked up my wedding invitations from Sugar Paper in Brentwood (photos to share coming soon!).

Signed, sealed and delivered the above...

Had brunch at Farmshop in the Brenwood Country Mart with the fiance- it's SO yummy!

Picked up some honeymoon/wedding related clothing... Couldn't find most of it online but did find a few things... Rebecca Taylor Nouveau Ballet Dress pictured above.

How I Spent My... Tuesday & ShopBop Reviews

Started the day off with a class at the Bar Method in Pasadena and then an iced coffee with almond milk at Le Pain Quotidien.

Then I received a much anticipated package from ShopBop's new wedding boutique. Sad to say I had high hopes for what was inside and was dissapointed. I ordered this Halston Heritage dress as a potential bridal shower dress and it was not only huge but totally see through. Bummer.

Next up was this pink Notte by Marchesa dress that I was really excited about for the "pink attire" shower my sister aka Martha Stewart is throwing for me. It's cute but I will need major alterations on this in order for it too look like it does on the model and will need to figure out how to make the rosette on the shoulder stay fluffy. It think once it's taken in and steamed it will be perfect!

Earlier this week, I received this Halston Heritage off the shoulder dress from saks. Another negative- it is actually really cute but I was going to have to have it altered and didn't think it was worth it. I guess it's not my shopping week!

If anyone has additional sizing questions feel free to leave them in the comments section and I will respond as quickly as possible!

Review: Kendra Scott Jewelry

Saw these Kendra Scott "Danielle" earrings in PeopleStyleWatch magazine and instantly fell in love- perfect to spice up any outfit!

Ordered them in turquoise as seen on Michelle Tratchenberg...

And black (I already wore them while out this weekend)! I also ordered them in Tigers Eye and should receive them this week. My rational for ordering three pairs was that the turquoise was fun for spring/summer and the black and tigers eye would go with pretty much anything.

Also, loved the Kendra Scott "Wren" earrings in green that Hilary Duff wore while promoting her book in Paris...

... So I bought them as well! I would definitely recommend either of these styles- they come in a bunch of colors, are nicely made for the price and look fab on!

Purchase a pair at KendraScott.com $65 for the "Danielle" and $70 for the "Wren."

Throwing On My Louboutins... & Monique Lhuilier

Got a swatch of the fabric for my rehearsal dinner dress from Monique Lhuillier today- ivory chantilly lace- can't wait to see it at my fitting!

I've been to just about every LA mall/boutique with my Mom in the past week looking for clothes for wedding related festivities... Fell in LOVE with these Lady Clou Spike Slingbacks which we first got in white but when I saw the metallic champagne color at the Louboutin store on Robertson I knew an exchange was in order.

To purchase the Lady Clou Spike Slingbacks click here. The color I got was a Louboutin store exclusive but they also come in white, red and black.

Also loved these Christian Louboutin Lady Peep Glitter Slingbacks which we got at the Neiman Marcus at the Topanga mall (the shoe salesman we had helps the Kardashians too, ask for Walter, he was so sweet!). Hard to tell in the photo but they are fine, multicolored glitter with a gold platform.

Some fun flowers I got at Trader Joe's today: lilac and purple Stock.

I'll do another clothing review soon, waiting for some new ShopBop items to arrive that I exchanged from the previous review! TGI almost F!

Review: ShopBop Purchases

To make good on my promise for a review, I'm back! Sad to say I was not too happy once I opened the box..

Rebecca Taylor Dress: Cute but huge and super see through. I do still like it so I am going to have it majorly altered and then have a lining added.

MinkPink Dress: Again, too big but it will be a simple alteration so I am definitely keeping this one. The fabric is not the best quality but it also wasn't a very expensive piece- I guess you really do get what you pay for.

T by Alexander Wang Shirt: Cute, comfy and what I expected so it was a keeper. FYI for anyone purchasing- it's pretty sheer.

Equipment Signature Blouse in Rose: Woah, horrible color in person. I was hoping for more of a soft, nude pink and instead it was more of a bright pink-peach. For some reason the quality of the buttons was really bugging me as well...

J Brand 10 Inch in White: Just no. Tried to make them work for 20 minutes and just wasn't feeling them. This sort of fabric tends to stretch out on me in .5 and then never looks as good as when first put on.

Final Verdict- 3 out of 5 are keepers but major alterations needed. I did do a little more shopping damage while out with my Mom this week but will give another review once everything arrives... Happy Friday Everyone!

Shop(Bop) Till You Drop

A few weeks ago I won a 20% off discount code to my favorite site, ShopBop, from the lovely Amber over at VenzEdits (fabulous site created by my equally fabulous sorority sister!). The code expired tonight so I definitely had to put it to good use... I tried to buy a few basics (white skinnys for summer and a neutral blouse that can be dressed up or down) and a few fun things that I've had my eye on for the upcoming Honeymoon (white, floral and stripes- can't go wrong!). I lucked out because they were also having a free overnight shipping promotion- be back later this week with a review!
