Almost to 200...

Can't believe that I am 1 person away from having 200 "followers"! Thanks to everyone who comes and checks out my blog, I appreciate it and love when people comment on my posts. Thank you, thank you ♥ !

On a side note, one more day until my 24th birthday... I'm sure I will have some fun posts to do next week in regards to the birthday celebrations- I'll definitely be celebrating with some lemon drops this weekend!

How I Spent My...Weekend

  • Went to the Hollywood Bowl and saw the "Bugs Bunny Symphony"- it was awesome.
  • Laid out at Manhattan Beach.
  • Went to dinner at one of my favorite Mexican restaurants, El Cholo.
  • Saw Inception- GREAT movie.

Oh and had to deal with this......

Someone crashed into my car because they weren't paying attention. Not a fun way to start off the weekend. Hope the 4 weeks it takes to repair go by fast...

How I Spent My... Thursday

Staring at the palm trees in my backyard.

Laying out in the 95 degree heat.

Hydration and sun protection- check.

A great mindless reading selection.

All photos taken on my iPhone with the "Hipstamatic" app. Now waiting for it to cool down a bit before a lovely run!

Flowers: Housewarming Party

All of these arrangements were for a housewarming party we had for my boyfriend's new apartment last weekend to celebrate him moving back home from NYC!

Made this orchid a little more fancy by buying a basic orchid plant from Trader Joe's (approx. $14) then buying a square, glass vase and rocks from Target ($10 for vase and $4 for rocks). Just took the the orchid out of it's original pot and moved it to the glass one to create a fun centerpiece!

Stock and white roses for the bathroom- you can see the yummy smelling Lemongrass Ginger Williams Sonoma hand soap and lotion set in the background.

Blue hydrangeas for the coffee table which is currently pushed against the wall while we wait for the Pottery Barn couch and chair to arrive...

And white roses for the bedroom nightstand placed next to my favorite candle: Diptyque's Baies.

Favorite iPhone App: CameraBag

My absolute favorite app for the iPhone is called CameraBag- it takes your original photo and can transform it into a unique look by using different filters. I love the "Instant" mode because it makes it look like an old polaroid picture and the "Lolo" mode is also great for photos with something colorful because it saturates the pic in a cool way, like this photo I took of some pink hydrangeas cut from my front yard:

In "Lolo" mode.

In "1962" mode.

In "Instant" mode.

In "Helga" mode.

This was the original photo (and least interesting in my opinion).

This app is available for $1.99-well worth it since you can email the photos from your iphone onto your computer and print them out or upload them to Facebook, Photobucket, Twitter, etc. Also, you can buy the desktop version for $19 here.
